We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice, including removing items from our catalogue or adjusting gallery opening hours.

All items listed on this website are antique, vintage or collectable and are sold as seen, unless explicitly stated otherwise. We strive to describe each item as accurately and completely as possible, including its age, dimensions, materials, condition and provenance. However, given the nature of antiques:

• Minor imperfections, wear and signs of age are inherent characteristics of antique and vintage items and are not considered defects.
• Photographs are representative but may not capture every detail. Colours may appear slightly different on screen compared to the actual item due to monitor calibration and lighting conditions during photography.
• Approximate dates of manufacture are given to the best of our professional knowledge and experience. Unless accompanied by documentary proof, dates represent our informed opinion rather than a guarantee.
• Descriptions of provenance are provided in good faith based on the information available to us. We cannot guarantee the completeness of provenance chains, particularly for items older than 150 years.

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. Our VAT registration number is GB 319 7462 85. Delivery charges, where applicable, are quoted separately at the point of enquiry or checkout and vary depending on the size, weight and destination of the item.

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time without prior notice. However, if you have already placed an order and we have confirmed it, we shall honour the price quoted at the time of your order confirmation, except in cases of obvious pricing error. In the event of a pricing error, we shall notify you promptly and offer you the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel your order for a full refund.

Many of our items are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Listing an item on the website does not guarantee its availability. Items are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw any item from sale at any time.

When you submit an order or enquiry through this website, it constitutes an offer to purchase the item(s) described. A binding contract is formed only when we send you a written order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, including where an item has already been sold, where we are unable to verify your identity or payment details, or where we suspect fraudulent activity.

We accept the following payment methods:

• Bank transfer (BACS): Our preferred method for purchases above £2,000. Bank details will be provided upon order confirmation.
• Visa and Mastercard: Processed securely through our payment provider.
• PayPal: Accepted for purchases of any value.
• Payment plans: For purchases exceeding £1,500, we may offer instalment plans of two to three payments by prior agreement. Items are dispatched only after the final payment has cleared. Payment plans are subject to individual approval and are not available as a right.

All payments must be received in full (or the first instalment agreed under a payment plan) before we dispatch any item. Ownership of the item passes to you only upon receipt of full payment. Until that point, we retain title to the goods.

If payment is not received within seven calendar days of order confirmation (unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing), we reserve the right to cancel the order and relist the item for sale without further notice.

We offer delivery throughout the United Kingdom via specialist fine art and antique carriers. International shipping is available by arrangement and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

Delivery timescales depend on the size and nature of the item, the delivery address and the availability of our specialist carriers. Typical delivery times within England and Wales are 5 to 10 working days from the date of payment clearance. Deliveries to Scotland, Northern Ireland and remote areas may take longer. We shall provide you with an estimated delivery date at the point of order confirmation.

While we make every reasonable effort to meet estimated delivery dates, these are indicative only and not guaranteed. We shall not be liable for any delay in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, carrier delays, industrial action or force majeure events.

All items are fully insured during transit at their full sale value at no additional cost to you. Our insurance covers loss or damage during shipping. In the event that an item arrives damaged, you must notify us in writing within 48 hours of delivery, including photographs of the damage and the packaging. We shall then arrange for the item to be collected and, at our discretion, repaired, replaced or refunded.

For larger furniture items, we offer a white-glove delivery service (available at additional cost), which includes delivery to a room of your choice, unpacking and removal of all packaging materials. This service must be requested at the point of order.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. You are responsible for inspecting items promptly upon receipt and reporting any issues within the timeframe specified above.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Our returns policy is as follows:

Non-Unique Items

For items that are not classified as unique or one-of-a-kind (for example, items of which we hold multiple examples), we offer a 30-day returns policy from the date of delivery. To initiate a return, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving the item. The item must be returned in the same condition as received, in its original packaging or packaging of equivalent standard. Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility unless the item was misdescribed.

Unique & One-of-a-Kind Items

Unique and one-of-a-kind antiques are sold as seen. Due to their irreplaceable nature, we do not generally accept returns on these items unless the item materially differs from the description provided at the point of sale. If you believe an item has been misdescribed, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with full details and supporting evidence. We shall review each case on its individual merits and, if we agree that the item was misdescribed, offer a full refund including return shipping costs.

Consumer Rights Act 2015

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation. If goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to the remedies available under the Act, including the right to a refund, repair or replacement as appropriate.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item (or, where applicable, receiving evidence of posting). Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase. We shall notify you by email once a refund has been processed. Please allow up to five working days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.

All content published on this website, including but not limited to text, photographs, images, graphics, logos, icons, page layout, software code, item descriptions, research notes and editorial content, is the property of Antique Collection Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use this website and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This licence does not permit you to:

• Reproduce, distribute or publicly display any content from this website without our prior written consent.

All items are antique or vintage and sold as seen. Condition reports are provided to the best of our knowledge and experience. Minor imperfections, wear and restoration consistent with the age of an item are to be expected and are not grounds for return or complaint unless materially different from the description provided.

If mediation does not resolve the dispute, either party may commence legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales as specified in Section 14 above. Nothing in this dispute resolution process prevents you from exercising your statutory rights or seeking injunctive relief at any time.
